Relocation
Moving an employee across the continent or the globe can be a trying and costly experience. At Wilson Banwell, we work hard to reduce the risks associated with national and international placements by doing what we do best - assessment-based evaluation.
Our testing and interviewing target seven key factors that predict success in national and international placement. Using our proprietary assessment process, we measure these factors with a high degree of precision, ensuring that our recommendations are sound and defensible.
Our process helps ensure employees make a smooth transition into their new situation by identifying and discussing possible risk factors associated with an individual's (or family's) relocation. We don't just make an overall recommendation, we identify and discuss any developmental needs apparent from the assessment.
Relocation candidates (and their family members) meet with one of our clinical psychologists for an interview. The relocation candidate and his/her spouse take a series of tests that screen for "risk factors". Feedback is provided to the candidate along with coaching where appropriate. When concerns are raised regarding an individual or family's ability to adapt, we make recommendations to increase the likelihood of success.
Our programs include the options of both pre-departure preparation
as well as repatriation. Our research shows that preparing a candidate
and his/her family facilitates their adaptation. And, while many
companies minimize the impact of returning to one's home country
after an overseas placement (repatriation), our research shows that
this can be a challenging adjustment, placing strains on the individual
and his/her family.
