Wilson Banwell and BCAA Celebrate 15 Year Relationship With Expanded EFAP Services

Vancouver, B.C. – May 12, 2006:

British Columbia Automobile Association employees and their families now have access to one of the most comprehensive corporate Health and Wellness programs available in North America.

Since 1991, Wilson Banwell has been providing BCAA with professional, confidential counselling services and other wellness programs designed to assist individuals, family members, and ultimately all of the organization.

Motivated by research linking personal well-being to organizational health, Wilson Banwell recently conducted a comprehensive review of BCAA’s needs and developed additional services, including unlimited access to personal and family counselling, innovative E-learning programs, and initiatives to promote usage amongst BCAA staff and their families.

An EFAP benefit allows employees to access a range of services that support the psychological health and productivity of each employee as well as their families. Issues addressed within an EFAP include stress, marital, substance/alcohol abuse as well as conflict in the work place.

“BCAA is an established client or ours, and together we’ve monitored the positive results of their having an EFAP program over the long term. They are a forward-thinking company which places a lot of value on supporting staff and their families. I’m confident that improving EFAP access will lead to additional benefits to the entire organization,” said Craig Thompson, Vice President of Business Development at Wilson Banwell.

“Key to this revised agreement with Wilson Banwell is removing limits to the amount of services people choose to access,” says Suzanne Fouillen, Human Resources Advisor for BCAA. “We’ve learned first hand how an effective EFAP helps people and ultimately helps our business.”
