technical requirements

Our courses are designed to be as easy to use as possible, using industry-standard plug-ins (see note below).

Flash7. All of our courses require the free Macromedia Flash player (already installed in most systems or click the button below).

Adobe Acrobat Reader. All of our courses require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view printable documents. Click here or the button below to get Acrobat Reader.

Audio. Most courses use audio (e.g. spoken words) but audio sections are minimal and not essential. Transcripts can be printed for computers without speakers or for hearing-impaired learners.

Modem. Courses will operate over a 56K modem connection or faster. However, "Resilience" is a multimedia course, using video segments, and a fast connection will be best (e.g. cable or DSL).

Note: A plug-in or 'player' generally refers to software that you need to add to your computer to give you additional functionality (e.g. in order to view a certain kind of program...or to play a game online...or to use a chat function).
